At the time, the food delivery sector was in turmoil as several notable startups, such as Foodpanda (later acquired by Ola Cabs), TinyOwl (later acquired by Zomato), and Ola Cafe (later closed) were struggling.[6][7] Majety and Reddy approached Rahul Jaimini, formerly with Myntra, and founded Swiggy and parent holding company Bundl Technologies in 2013

Sriharsha Majety, Nandan Reddy, and Rahul Jain founded Swiggy.
Sriharsha Majety is the co-founder of Swiggy, India’s largest food delivery service. He has a degree in electrical engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. and an MBA from IIM-Calcutta.

Nandan Reddy was born in Hyderabad, India. Reddy grew up in a family of entrepreneurs. His grandfather founded a successful construction company and his father started an import-export business.

Rahul Jain was Born in Jaipur, India. Jain’s parents are both doctors. His father is a pcountriesediatrician and his mother is an ophthalmologist. Jain has two older sisters.

The Amazing Story of Swiggy

Three friends, Sriharsha Majety, Nandan Reddy, and Rahul Jain decided to start a food delivery service. At the time, there weren’t any food delivery services in India, so they saw an opportunity to fill that gap in the market.

In the summer, a group of young entrepreneurs decided to start a food delivery service. At the time, there were no food delivery services in India, so they saw an opportunity to fill that gap in the market.

They started by delivering food from local restaurants to their classmates, and the business took off from there. Today, Swiggy is India’s largest food delivery service with over 50,000 restaurant partners! They pooled their resources and started Swiggy with just Rs. 10,000.

Today, Swiggy is India’s largest food delivery service, and has raised over $800 million in funding! Here, we will take a closer look at Swiggy’s startup story and see what lessons we can learn from it.
