Social worker, Liz Grasberger, has had a dream of starting her own unique blanket company for years. However, she lacked the resources and expertise to make her dream a reality. That all changed when Liz heard about Penn State’s Happy Valley LaunchBox program.

Launched in 2016, Penn State’s Happy Valley LaunchBox is a community-wide entrepreneurship initiative that provides resources and support to budding entrepreneurs. Through the program, entrepreneurs receive access to resources such as mentorship, funding, and workspace. Additionally, the program has an on-site accelerator program called Blueprints, which helps entrepreneurs develop their business ideas and launch their ventures.

When Liz heard about the program, she was eager to apply. After being accepted into the program, Liz was given access to resources and guidance that helped her move forward with her blanket company. With the help of the program, Liz was able to design, produce, and launch her unique blankets.

Liz is now the proud owner of her own unique blanket company. She credits the program with providing her with the resources and support she needed to make her dream a reality. “Without the LaunchBox program, I would never have been able to turn my dream into a reality,” Liz said. “They provided me with everything I needed to get started and kept me motivated every step of the way.”

Liz’s story is just one of many success stories to come out of Penn State’s Happy Valley LaunchBox program. The program has helped entrepreneurs from all backgrounds turn their dreams into reality. It is a testament to the power of Penn State’s commitment to helping the local community become more entrepreneurial and innovative.
