HerKey, a Bengaluru-based startup that aims to address the gender gap in the Indian workforce, has raised an undisclosed amount in a pre-seed funding round from marquee investors, including Ankur Capital, Titan Capital, and Firstcheque. Founded in 2022 by Navya Nanda and Sachi Shah, HerKey is a career platform that offers professional development courses, mentorship, networking opportunities, and job placements exclusively to women. The platform aims to help women overcome the barriers they face in accessing job opportunities and advancement in the Indian workplace.The startup plans to use the funds to expand its team and develop its product offerings. It also plans to launch an AI-powered career coach feature that will provide personalized career guidance to women.According to a report by McKinsey & Company, India could add $770 billion to its GDP by 2025 if women’s workforce participation rates were to match those of men. HerKey’s mission aligns with this goal, and the startup hopes to make a significant impact on closing the gender gap in the Indian workforce. The startup was founded in 2020 by Shreya Paliwal and Priti Choudhary, who are both experienced professionals in the tech and consulting industries. HerKey has partnered with over 100 companies in India to provide job opportunities to women across various sectors such as IT, finance, marketing, and human resources.

The startup has been recognized for its efforts in promoting gender diversity in the workplace, including being selected as a winner in the “Empower Women” category at the 2021 WomenTech Network Global Awards.
