The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office has taken swift action by activating the New York State AMBER Alert system after two children were abducted late Sunday night in Cortland, New York.

The AMBER Alert was issued due to the circumstances surrounding the abduction, which led law enforcement to believe that the children are in immediate danger of serious harm or even death. The incident occurred at approximately 11 pm on June 11th.

The first child, Anthony M. Bowman III, is a 3 years and 11 months old Black male with short brown hair and captivating blue eyes. He stands at around 3 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 45 pounds. Anthony was last seen wearing an orange t-shirt, khaki shorts, and Paw Patrol sandals.

The second child, Aaliyah E. Bowman, is a 2 years and 4 months old Black female with curly brown hair and beautiful brown eyes. She is approximately 2 feet tall and weighs around 25 pounds. Aaliyah was last seen wearing a purple onesie with a dark purple heart, a multi-colored skirt, and flip flops.

Authorities have identified the suspect as Anthony M. Bowman Jr., a 30-year-old Black male. He has short brown hair, brown eyes, stands at approximately 6 feet tall, and weighs about 140 pounds. The suspect’s last known attire is unknown, but he has distinctive tattoos—a Virgo symbol on his lower left arm and a Cross and Ribbon on his right upper arm.

The suspect vehicle associated with the abduction is a red SUV Chevrolet Equinox with damage to the driver’s door. The New York license plate number is KYV2137, and the driver’s side has a spare tire and rim. The individuals involved were last seen traveling on North Main Street in Cortland.
