The service provider has now released its 5G service in Hyderabad.
Airtel claims that the Hyderabadis can now enjoy ultra-fast 5G connectivity on the go while they travel in the Hyderabad Metro Rail.
In addition, customers can enjoy Airtel ‘5G Plus’ in multiple locations in the city including Begumpet, Banjara Hills, Jubilee hills,
Hi-tech City, Gachibowli, Bowenplly, Kompally, RTC Cross Roads, Koti, Malakpet, Charminar, Habsiguda, Uppal, Nagole, Kupatpally, Miyapur, amongst other locations.
Mittal speaks Airtel will premiere 5G services in 8 main cities from October 2022 and will cover main cities & towns by March 2023 & the whole country by March 2024.
And Reliance Jio has announced the rollout of 5G services in Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
Jio users in Hyderabad and Bengaluru will be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer to experience unlimited data at up to 1 Gbps speeds at no additional cost, a release said.
Initially, the company rolled out its 5G services in eight cities.
Airtel 5G Plus services are now available in 12 Indian cities including — Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Guwahati, Panipat, Pune, Nagpur, Varanasi, and Gurugram.
Apart from the railway stations and the bus terminal mentioned above,
Airtel’s 5G is available in the following locations of Hyderabad – Begumpet, Banjara Hills, Jubilee hills,
Hi-tech City, Gachibowli, Bowenplly, Kompally, RTC Cross Roads, Koti, Malakpet, Charminar, Habsiguda, Uppal, Nagole, Kupatpally, Miyapur, etc.
How can I use Airtel 5G in Hyderabad?
All 5G smartphones in India work with Airtel 5G. Change handset settings: Go to the settings tab and get to Connections or Mobile Network. Select the 5G network mode. You may need to update your handset software to do the same.
According to Airtel, a 4G SIM can work in 5G-powered phones.
Change the option from 4G to 5G in the Mobile
In the Mobile Open Settings> Network & Internet> SIMs> Preferred network type>Choose 5G
