Tata Power Renewable Energy, a subsidiary of Tata Power, has inked a power delivery agreement with two prominent Firodia Group companies, Force Motors and Jaya Hind Industries. This collaboration, operating under the group captive scheme, marks a commitment to supplying green power for an impressive duration of 25 years.

Under the terms of the agreement, Force Motors is slated to consume 1.36 crore units of power annually, while Jaya Hind Industries will utilize 1.54 crore units per year. The focal point of this green energy endeavor is the group captive solar plant situated in Achegaon, Maharashtra. Boasting a robust capacity of 13.2 MW of alternate current, this solar facility is set to generate a substantial 2.9 crore units of power annually.

One of the notable aspects of this project is its environmental impact. The operation of the solar plant is expected to curtail carbon emissions by an impressive 21,200 metric tons per year, aligning with global efforts to combat climate change. This reduction in carbon footprint underscores the pivotal role of renewable energy in mitigating the adverse effects of conventional power generation on the environment.
